Water Quality Assessment of the Beaver Creek Watershed

Tests were conducted at the Beaver Creek Watershed in Eau Claire County; Fall Creek Wisconsin, from October of 2000 through May of 2001.  Tests such as the FBI (Family Level Biotic Index), chemical tests, fish collections, and temperature data were calculated to determine the quality of the stream.  Data was collected during the fall and spring.  On average the FBI results of 3.5.  In addition, physical conditions were studied, such as nitrate, phosphate, turbidity, D.O., and temperature. Low nitrate, phosphate, turbidity, and high D.O. concentration in addition to the FBI indices indicate Beaver Creek Watershed to have high quality.
