Conclusion
This
research was not what we expected. We did not understand the type
of work that had to go into conducting a sound project such as this.
Most of all we did not anticipate many of the complications with the project.
For example things like, transportation, bad weather, and equipment failure
made accomplishing our goal difficult.
Our research using the FBI showed an overall very good to excellent rating
of the stream. In correlation with the insect collections, the chemical
research also demonstrated an overall good quality rating of the stream
with the exception of phosphate. Our only concern is the possible
phosphate levels. Our fish collections showed a wide variety of species
that live in the stream. We think this is due to the good quality
of the stream, and this is indicated by the presence of trout.
From
our research we proved our hypothesis to be correct that the stream has
an
overall
good quality rating.
