Before venturing out in the wilderness, it is extremely necessary to make sure that campers know how to three basic things for setting up camp:

1. Setting-up tent
2. Firing up the camp stove
3. Tarping before it rains

Each camper must demonstrate the ability to complete the above three tasks before leaving on the trip. The teacher will test-out each student to ensure all are proficient at these important skills. Demonstrations of these tasks will be provided by students or the teachers.

When finished with camp set-up, continue on to canoeing.
