Directions: the Following activities will help you understand energy flow through the ecosystem and the food chain.

1. Print out this worksheet on Energy Flow
2. View the Energy Flow in Ecosystems powerpoint presentation or the HTML version of the same thing and complete the worksheet.
3. Read the following information about food chains and food webs.
4. View the following video about the food chain on the Serengeti. You may view it with a maximum of three others in a quiet area with the volume low.
5. Play the following game called "Chain Reaction" about food chains. When you receive 100% on the game, show your teacher for 10 points in the grade book.
6. Once you understand the food chain and food web, you are to create an on-line food web found at the bottom of this web page. Have no more than 5 organisms on any part of the chain. You must have at least 15 different organisms on you food chain. Print out your web made food chain and hand it in to the teacher.
